Chi Gong Eight Parts of Brocade

Additional techniques for working with the body

"Eight Parts of Brocade" (Ba Duan Jin) is one of the oldest and most well-known forms of Chi Gong exercise. How and when to practice?

"Eight Parts of Brocade" (Ba Duan Jin) is one of the oldest and most well-known forms of Chi Gong, practiced in China for over a thousand years. Its name refers to silk brocade – a noble, light, and beautiful material – as does the effect it has on the body and spirit.

It is a set of eight simple yet profound exercises that combine movement, breathing, and intention. Regular practice supports:

the free flow of Qi (life energy),

calming the mind and reducing stress,

strengthening muscles, joints, and spine,

improving the functioning of internal organs and the respiratory system,

overall physical and emotional balance.

The exercises are accessible to people of all ages and require no special preparation. They can be performed at home, in a therapy room, outdoors – anywhere there is space for mindfulness.

Perfect as a morning warm-up, evening quiet, or a regenerative ritual.
